Sound Track Release for The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra Likely

Jeremy Zuckerman and Benjamin Wynn, who make up The Track Team, have been the creative minds behind the breathtaking Avatar Soundtrack all along. They’ve developed music that has fit the Avatar World so perfectly at times and they’ve done an excellent job of reflecting the overall emotion that the show has portrayed.

Over the years, many fans have asked Nickelodeon to release the sound track for The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra. Fans have signed petitions and wrote letters to Nickelodeon, but little progress was actually made in releasing an official sound track.

Luckily for Legend of Korra fans, the release for a potential Last Airbender and Legend of Korra sound track looks very promising as of late.

How Amon Used Bloodbending to Take Another Person’s Bending Away

We all know the effects of bloodbending. We know how it can be used to manipulate the human body into doing terrible things. But one thing that might not be so clear is how it can be used to take away bending.

The series didn’t do the best job of explaining the process, but nonetheless, the process does make a lot of sense. Bloodbending is extremely dynamic, so it only makes sense that it can be used to take away bending.

In order to fully grasp this concept, you need to understand the idea of Chi and how it works in the Avatar World.

Avatar Aang Could Have a Big Role in Book 2 of The Legend of Korra

Since Book 2 of The Legend of Korra is titled ‘Spirit’, it has been well known that The Spirit World will be very important to Book 2’s plot line. Avatar Korra has already mastered the physical side of being the Avatar, but she must still master the spiritual side. This will likely result in a few episodes devoted specifically to The Spirit World.

In case you may have forgotten, Avatar Aang’s first trip to The Spirit World was full of a lot of confusion and fear. At the time, Aang was a novice to The Spirit World, and thus he needed a bit of guidance. So to help Aang out, Avatar Roku was introduced: he helped guide Aang on his quests in The Spirit World as well as his journey to becoming a fully realized Avatar.

When Korra enters The Spirit World in Book 2, there is no question that she will also feel a bit confused. She will likely feel alone and powerless against the elements before her, but I think Korra will soon realize that she’s not as alone as she may anticipate. Just as Avatar Roku helped Avatar Aang, I believe that Avatar Aang will help guide Avatar Korra.

The Legend of Korra Book 2 Release Date Prediction

As the title says, this article is merely a prediction piece. This is simply how I would perceive the Nickelodeon Network to act when it comes to strategically airing The Legend of Korra. None of these assumptions are necessarily confirmed.

Update: Possible Legend of Korra Book 2 release date found.

In case you are unaware, Networks base their Television Schedules on one thing: money. They research trends and data to find the best shows for specific times of the year. The Legend of Korra is a special show for Nickelodeon because it’s one of the Network’s biggest series’, and thus, their biggest source of profit. When The Legend of Korra airs, Nickelodeon has a massive spike in viewers, many of which are not necessarily avid Nick fans. And because of this, Nickelodeon’s ratings as a whole sky rocket causing an influx of potential advertisers who are willing to pay a lot of money to have their commercial aired.

That’s why Nickelodeon ordered 2 more Books of The Legend of Korra, they know how valuable the series is to the Network. And now that DirecTV has dropped the Network (causing a 20% dip in ratings), Nickelodeon will need to ensure that their highest rated series, The Legend of Korra, is aired strategically to boost the Network’s ratings to the highest degree.

That being said, the only way to efficiently predict when Book 2 of The Legend of Korra will air is to research and find the best times for Nickelodeon to have a massive influx in viewers as a whole. Once we find the appropriate time slot, we find a potential air date.

‘Legend of Korra’ Episode 9 to be Titled ‘Out of the Past’

Update: ‘Out of the Past’ has officially aired. Check out our recap here.

According to the Xfinity episode guide for The Legend of Korra, the 9th episode in the series will be titled ‘Out of the Past’. It is scheduled to premiere on Saturday, June 9th, exactly one week after the 8th episode airs.

If you check the Xfinity guide yourself, you’ll notice that the 9th episode is not exactly displayed very clearly. When you click the link for The Legend of Korra episodes, a page that displays episodes 1-9 initially flashes, but it then disappears and a new page that only shows episodes 1-7 is displayed.

Luckily we have the technology of ‘Print Screen”, which gives us the ability to capture an image of the displayed page on our computer. I used this feature to quickly capture an image of the initial page that shows the 9th Legend of Korra episode. The image that I captured is shown at the top of this post.

Based solely on the episodes title, I have a hunch that we may see a past character from The Last Airbender. Maybe Aang in the Spirit World? Zuko as an old man? This episode has to do with the past, so if we don’t get to see a previous character, I expect the episode to possibly focus on Korra’s “past”.

Dante Basco: Second Season of ‘Legend of Korra’ Currently in the Works

In an interview with Crave Online, Dante Basco (voice of Zuko) slipped some more details on the current production status of The Legend of Korra. When asked what was “going on” with The Legend of Korra, Basco was not shy to reveal the current status of the popular series:

We just started the new season, I think third or fourth episode. I have a role in it and I’m always proud to be a part of the “Avatar” family. Everything is hush-hush with it always. I’d get yelled at for even talking about it but I’m excited. I love the new show. I think they did a great job and I can’t wait to see how the fans take to it.

Now this is very interesting because The Legend of Korra is currently at its cross roads of destiny. The second season only has 14 episodes planned, and with 2-3 episodes already finished, Mike and Bryan will need to decide whether they want to extend The Legend of Korra, or end the series at season two.

This is not the first time Mike and Bryan have had to decide whether or not to extend The Legend of Korra. The series was actually already extended once: It was initially only going to be a mini-series, but it was later extended to two seasons.

Ultimately, the fate of the show is in the hands of the creators. We’ll just have to wait and see what they decide to do and learn to live with it. But let’s just be happy that Dante Basco has confirmed season two’s production as well as his role in the season. And based on what Basco is saying, I can’t wait to see how this season ends.

Interview with Legend of Korra’s P. J. Bryne, the Voice of Bolin

MTV Geek recently had an interesting interview with P.J. Bryne, the voice of Bolin. He answers a lot of interesting questions that directly pertains to Bolin and the current love triangle that exists in The Legend of Korra.

If you’re a big Bolin fan, I advise you to check out the interview. If you’re not (shame on you), it still provides some pretty cool insight on The Legend of Korra as a whole. Enjoy:

‘Legend of Korra’ Episode 7: ‘The Aftermath’ Recap

The 7th ‘Legend of Korra’ episode ‘The Aftermath’ takes place directly after the events of the last episode. In the beginning, we are immediately informed that the Pro Bending arena will be shut down for repairs, forcing Mako and Bolin to find a new place to live.

But luckily for them, they have their great friend Korra to help them out and, unfortunately for Korra, Mako’s girlfriend Asami as well.

Korra arranges for Mako and Bolin to stay with her at Air Temple Island, but Asami makes arrangements a little quicker. Mako and Bolin ultimately decide to move in with Asami the next day but they insist that Korra comes along to visit the mansion as well.

While in the mansion, Korra overhears Hiroshi Sato, Asami’s father, talking about some sort of attack with the Equalists. The assumption is that Sato is creating weapons for the Equalists and Korra makes it a point to leave immediately and inform Tenzin and Chief Bei Fong.

The Cabbage Man’s Legacy Appears in ‘Legend of Korra’ Episode ‘The Aftermath’

20120519-120833.jpg

Mike and Brian originally said, before ‘The Legend of Korra’ aired, that the Cabbage Man’s legacy would make a return in the new series. That latest episode, ‘The Aftermath’, showed us exactly what Mike and Bryan meant by that.

When Chief Bei fong found a stash of equalist posters and weaponry, the man behind Cabbage Corp was held responsible. And when he was dragged out by the police and charged, he yelled, “Not my Cabbage Corp!”

Well that sounds awfully familiar, doesn’t it? This definitely provided some humor in an episode that was plagued by danger and coverups. Hopefully we’ll see a bit more of the man behind Cabbage Corp throughout the series.

‘The Legend of Korra’ Episode 5: ‘The Spirit of Competition’ Description Released

The 5th episode of ‘The Legend of Korra’ is titled ‘The Spirit of the Competition’. Here is an official description explaining what we should expect from the episode:

Korra and her teammates struggle to work together after romantic rivalries shake their foundation.

Because this episode revolves around some sort of competition, I think Pro Bending will play a significant part. And since there are “romantic rivalries”, maybe a love triangle will form?

The episode airs Saturday, May 5th; don’t forget!
