Sound Track Release for The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra Likely

Jeremy Zuckerman and Benjamin Wynn, who make up The Track Team, have been the creative minds behind the breathtaking Avatar Soundtrack all along. They’ve developed music that has fit the Avatar World so perfectly at times and they’ve done an excellent job of reflecting the overall emotion that the show has portrayed.

Over the years, many fans have asked Nickelodeon to release the sound track for The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra. Fans have signed petitions and wrote letters to Nickelodeon, but little progress was actually made in releasing an official sound track.

Luckily for Legend of Korra fans, the release for a potential Last Airbender and Legend of Korra sound track looks very promising as of late.

This news comes directly from Jeremy Zuckerman’s official Twitter Page. Here’s a twitter conversation hinting the potential release of The Last Airbender’s official sound track:

Here’s a twitter conversation hinting the possible release of the Legend of Korra’s official sound track:

Based on what Jeremy is saying, it looks like there’s a good chance for The Last Airbender’s sound track to hit stores sometimes this year, but there’s still no word on a possible release month for The Legend of Korra’s sound track.

Maybe they’ll wait and release that after the conclusion of Book 4? Hopefully we won’t have to wait that long. But the one thing we can take from this is that the release of some sort of Avatar-related sound track looks very promising.

  1. yyaaaaaayyy!! I actually sighed that petition!

  2. Huh? i don’t really get it…ATLA is already (I think) 5 years old…So why are y’all still waititng for the soundtrack…?

    • Well a lot of people have wanted it ever since the series ended in 2008 and a lot of people STILL haven’t given up hope.

I personally forgot about it, but this tweet kind of rejuvenate my memory.

      • yes!!! i have been dying for more information on this!!! I’m so getting the CD when it comes out!!! I hope they won’t make us wait as long for the Lok sound track as long as they did for ATLA i hope they also give us another art book like they did for ATLA

do you think when Korra comes back for book 2 they’ll air the episodes at a different time like later in the day? i hate getting up at 7:30 am, Korra called it herself the mornings are EVIL!!!

      • I don’t know. I would think that they would just keep it at the same time as before, but it all depends on the spot they get.

Most likely it will remain in the same time slot.

    • The music is that good! Just look at Batman: The Animated Series: it had some of the best music ever in any Batman cartoon or animation in general, and yet its soundtrack is only being released now, with great success. So sometimes, waiting can be rewarded 😉

  3. I will buy it even if it’s $100!!! 😀

  4. I dont really get the point of a sountrack

    • When the music is this good, it can be listened to on its own, either while working or just to enjoy it on its own. A good soundtrack will be listenable on its own, or be serviceable enough to remind you of the scene it was played in by association. In the case of Avatar and Korra, the music is beautiful enough to do both.

It’s just a case of wanting the soundtrack to relax or relive the emotions of an episode/film without having to re-watch it, I guess.

  5. If a sound track is released I am so buying it, I already know the words to most of the Last Airbender songs with words, though i think if it does get released I’d cry all the way through Leaves from the Vine!!!!!!!!! : )
