Post-Upfront Humor: Harlem Shake – Legend of Korra Edition (Must Watch)

HarlmenShake Korra Edition

The Nickelodeon Upfront 2013 sucked yesterday, but that doesn’t mean today can’t be a better day. In order to help lighten the mood on this dreary Wednesday afternoon, enjoy 30 seconds of YouTube epicness: The Harlem Shake – Korra Edition.

Just to ensure that you’re prepared for what you’re about to witness, here is a rundown of what each character is doing:

  • Lin Beifong is punching the living sh*t out of Amon.
  • Korra and Mako are sort of “grinding”.
  • Jinora is humping the air in a sleeping bag.
  • Ikki is waving her hands in the air.
  • Bolin is torquing while doing a hand stand.
  • Asami is waving her hands in the air.
  • Meelo is fart bending across the screen.
  • Tenzin is doing something that’s too inappropriate to… well, just watch it:

Nickelodeon Disappoints Again: No Legend of Korra Book 2 Release Date Announced

RAGE ON NICK

I’m honestly at a loss for words…

I really don’t know what to say. I decided to write this post as soon as it became official: no Book 2 release date was announced. You are currently reading my raw, uncensored emotions.

F**k this sh*t!

Just when all the points seem to line up perfectly, Legend of Korra fans still get screwed over by Nickelodeon. I’m even angrier at the fact that I got all of you so hyped for this, only to be disappointed. That being said, I truly am very sorry for hyping all of you up disappointment – yet again.

The Nickelodeon Upfront 2013 won’t be Televised Because it’s Not Meant for Us

Nickelodon Upfront 2013

Events like the San-Diego Comic-Con are popular because they are televised – they draw ratings. People from all around the world tune in each year to witness the new direction the entertainment industry takes. Will Microsoft smash the competition and put Sony to shame again? Will the Avengers 2 be making its debut in the summer as expected? Events like Comic-Con are for us, the fans.

But what about events such as Upfronts? Cartoon Network recently had their Upfront, and now Nickelodeon will have their Upfront on the 26th. Is it really a big deal that I never even knew what an “Upfront” was until a few weeks ago?

No, not at all. Why? Upfronts aren’t even meant for our viewing.

Mike DiMartino recently explained that the only way people were able to watch the Upfront last year was via a stream that might have come out after the show was over. The reason why the Nickelodeon Upfront 2013 is not televised is because Nickelodeon does not expect us to watch it. They aren’t concerned about the ratings because the event is not meant for us.

M. Night Shyamalan Could Start Working on The Last Airbender 2 in 2013

If you follow M. Night Shyamalan on Twitter (you probably don’t) you most likely saw him tweet about his potential upcoming movies. What you probably didn’t notice is that one of his potential upcoming movies is The Last Airbender 2.

Unless you have yet to see The Last Airbender (don’t see it), you’d know that Shyamalan’s vision of the Avatar World isn’t too far from delusional. The guy can make movies: 6th Sense and Unbreakable are two of my favorite movies. But currently, Shyamalan just can’t seem to work his magic in this decade. It’s gotten so bad, in fact, that many believed that The Last Airbender would be the final tip-off most Studios would need to ensure that Shyamalan doesn’t direct another movie again.

Obviously the Studios still haven’t gotten the hint since Shyamalan has another movie, entitled After Earth, that’s due on June 7th 2013. And after that, well, we have reason to believe that he’ll start working on The Last Airbender 2.
