As we inch our way closer and closer to Judgment Day 2013, the production for Book 2 of The Legend of Korra inches closer and closer to completion. As most of us should know by now, the final touches are currently being put on Book 2. That means tons of color correcting sessions as well as sound effect implementation.
A lot of these touch-ups have fortunately led to an abundance of Book 2 information over the past few weeks. We’ve learned how the Track Team was just recently working on sound effects for Spirits. Then we had a look at some actual images of Book 2 including a few Story Board scenes.
Now the Track Team has come out to confirm that episodes from Book 2 of The Legend of Korra are beginning to be completed.
This confirmation comes from the Track Team’s official Twitter. You can read the actual Tweet down below.
Just finished the most epic Korra episode yet…!

Based on how everything is looking, I fully expect Book 2 to air sometime this April. We should get official word on that in about 3 days – Judgment Day.

I joined the ATLA and the LOK fandom in December, so I skipped most of the hiatus, but I can’t wait!
Even when I am so used to long hiatuses since I’m also part of the YJ fandom.
Welcome aboard!
Thanks! 😀
Welcome, welcome! You have embarked on a journey that will change your life for the better! 😀
It already did when I watched all the episodes, now I’m just joining the fandom dimension of the Avatar Universe!
Lets just hope well you know they don’t fall behind schedule like me and my book do haha…
As long as it is for a good reason (and not a big delay), then I think there wouldn’t be much of a problem.
This may not be related with the post but I would like to ask you something, do you write books? Like really write books?
Yes. Yes I do.
Can’t wait! Can’t wait! Can’t wait!
I don’t think anyone can!
lol, you spelled Judgement Day wrong… or is that how you really spell it?
It is spelled Judgment Day.
Microsoft Word never lies lol. 🙂
Uhm… No, it is spelled Judgement Day. With another “e” in the middle. And it is strange that I know that, considering that english isn’t my mother tongue.^^
I just Googled it. Looks like people spell it either way, but “Judgment” is most common. Especially since the movie Terminator 2 it titled “Termination 2: Judgment Day”
I went to google translator. It said it was spelled judgment. But now I checked my English dictionary and it said it was spelled judgement. Is there a chance that there is a difference between the way it is spelled in the UK and the way it is spelled in the USA?
Lol that’s so conflicting. Whatever, I don’t really care at this point. THREE DAYS!
Wikipedia, always here to help us (not the most trustable source you can get, but this is not an essay, so who cares):
“In a non-legal context, spelling differs between countries. The spelling judgement (with e added) is common in the United Kingdom in a non-legal context. In British English, the spelling judgment is correct when referring to a court’s or judge’s formal ruling, whereas the spelling judgement is used for other meanings. The spelling judgment is also found in the Authorized King James Version of the Bible.
In American English, judgment prevails in all contexts. In Canada and Australia, in a non-legal context both forms are equally acceptable, although judgment is more common in Canada and judgement in Australia. However, in a legal and theological context, judgment is the only correct form.[citation needed] In New Zealand the form judgement is the preferred spelling in dictionaries, newspapers and legislation, although the variant judgment can also be found in all three categories. Usage in South Africa is similar to that in Australia and New Zealand.”

Now that was a major tangent.
I keep telling myself, “Three more days, three more days, just three more freaking days, I can do it, I can make it, I can, I think.” o_e
Yeah, 3 more days until we learn the release date. Then we’ll have to wait another month or so for the show lol.
Are you sure they will reveal the date on the upfront? You were hoping they would release it when they aired The Last Airbender film, and after all…
Well I can’t say it’s confirmed, but since it happened last year like this, I’m extremely hopeful.
Oh man oh man, the day is inching closer!!! I can’t believe LoK Season 2 is just around the corner!
will “Judgement Day” be televised?
Nope.
Then how will I watch it?
I’ll have a post about it published soon.
Yeah as Keval said, it’s not a televised event. It is a network presentation to the ad buyers; in other words, it is where the network hosts a presentation to show its yearly (for some networks, just fall) lineup to give ad buyers an opportunity to buy commercial airtime. It’s only really attended by the press and advertisers, so its not a public event. Whatever information that’s revealed will be reported on by press outlets.
Bryan Konietzko made a blog post about it last year: http://bryankonietzko.tumblr.com/post/19339537377/according-to-this-i-finally-have-some-talent-or
Ahh, thanks for the link! Really helpful.
@Keval You’re welcome!
Hallelujah!
