Tenzin, a new character introduced in Avatar: The Legend of Korra, is the son of Avatar Aang and will be Korra’s airbending teacher in the upcoming series.

Other than that, we don’t have too much background on this character. So what better way to get more insight on Tenzin than to interview the Voice Actor of Tenzin himself? J.K. Simmons gave Comic Book Movie an exclusive interview that gives us Avatar fans a little insight on what’s to come.

You bet. I hope this works, despite my complete incompetence with all technology.

Fans know that in the upcoming Avatar: The Legend of Korra your character, Tenzin, is the son of Aang and Korra’s Airbending instructor; what else can you tell us about him?

Not unlike the actor who provides his voice, he’s bald. And very virile. And wise. And attractive…

Does the fact that Tenzin’s father was the Avatar before Korra cause any strain between them when they first meet?

That’s one of many things that contributes to difficulty in their relationship.

How did you get involved in the new Avatar series?

The old fashioned way. As I recall, (which I often do incorrectly) I auditioned for this one.

If you could bend any element which would you want and why?

Air. That way you can basically fly, which is my favorite G-rated fantasy.

Very interesting. Despite the fact that we learned more about J.K. Simmons in this interview than Tenzin, we did learn a little about the relationship between Tenzin and Korra: It’s not very good. But what do you expect from a “head strong girl that’s ready to take on the world”?

I see this relationship very similar to the initial relationship between Katara and Master Paku. Bad at first, but grows to become better over time.

Today we have some information on 3 new possible characters that could appear in Avatar: The Legend of Korra. According to IMBD (Internet Movie Data-Base), “Teenage Noatak”, “Earthbending Gangster”, and ” Waterbender Gangster AKA Viper”  are all characters that will make their debut in the first episode of ‘Legend of Korra‘.

No information on the background of these characters have been given, but you can certainly speculate a lot based on the fact that two of these characters are in gangs.

Earlier this week, an Older version of Katara was confirmed to be a character in at least one episode of the show. If you are interested in viewing all of the confirmed characters so far for in ‘Legend of Korra‘, you can visit IMBD’s list of confirmed characters.

Recent evidence (possibly leaked) has pretty much confirmed the presence of another important, but familiar character in Avatar: The Legend of Korra.

The recently leaked ‘Legend of Korra‘ video clips have appeared to show us much more than Korra’s bending styles. We also saw an old water tribe lady that remorsefully talked about how Aang was no longer present, and how her brother along with the rest of her friends had all passed. Oh, and she has “hair loopies” too.

I think you can certainly take that as a confirmation that Katara will indeed be in ‘Legend of Korra‘. But my question to you is: how long will she stay alive?

Viacom has certainly been busy keeping Avatar: The Legend Of Korra on the down-low from the public eye lately. They’ve already been responsible for removing multiple video leaks of the show that’s expected to officially air Fall of 2012.

But those leaks are nothing special compared to we’ve got on our hands today. We have three video clips of the actual show itself, that show off Korra’s martial arts and, most importantly, her bending of the Earth, Water and Fire elements.

It’s uncertain as of now if these were officially released, but the consensus is that they could be a part of a leaked batch that Viacom will surly take down sooner or later. But if you happened to get to this article fast enough, maybe you’ll be one of the lucky ones that get an exclusive access to the show months before it airs.

Update: Well it looks like Viacom is at it again. All videos have been blocked. Sorry!
